Tutoring

One-on-one Tutoring

Writing is one of the most challenging parts of the college experience, but it can also be one of the most rewarding. By visiting WTS and working with a writing tutor, you can develop skills that will help make writing easier and more enjoyable in all of your classes! You’ll find tutors very familiar with the requirements for writing-focused courses, including:

  • General Education English Composition courses, such as English W-131
  • Intensive Writing courses in any major or department
  • Professional Writing courses, such as BUS-C204: Business Writing
  • Public Oral Communication courses, such as COLL-P155

But WTS tutors can help with any paper for any class offered at IU Bloomington, as well as job applications, scholarship applications, and graduate school or transfer applications. Our tutors assist people having difficulty with their writing and people who aren’t: we know that revision is an important part of writing papers and that it can be helpful to bounce ideas off another person. WTS tutors are here to help you think through your ideas, to structure your papers, to incorporate evidence – we can help at any stage of the writing process.
